****Attention****
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has responded to the report of an adult male who reportedly went under in Cherry Lake and did not come up. Immediate recovery efforts were unsuccessful and have been suspended for the night due to safety concerns. Recovery efforts will resume tomorrow morning at daylight.
Due to this tragic event the Cherry Lake Public Beach and Boat Ramp will be closed until further notice and boating on the lake will be restricted to a minimum. Please refrain from all boating activities until the recovery can be completed.
