****Drowning Update****
Madison County Sheriff’s Office reports the recovery of the drowning victim in Cherry Lake. He is a 49 year old black male from Valdosta, GA. His identity will be released once all proper notifications have been made.
The Sheriff’s Office is in process of reopening the Cherry Lake public beach and boat ramp. All lake and boating activities are cleared to resume as normal.
MCSO was assisted by numerous agencies during the recovery effort. An official release will be forth coming.
