Karina De Los Santos, (23, Tampa), WINS TOP PRIZE FROM THE $2,000,000 GOLD RUSH CLASSIC SCRATCH-OFF

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida Lottery announces that Karina De Los Santos, 23, of Tampa, claimed a $2 million top prize from the $10 GOLD RUSH CLASSIC Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,405,000.00.

De Los Santos says she has big plans for her winnings, “I want to invest in myself by opening up my own nail salon!”

De Los Santos purchased her winning ticket from Publix, located at 10015 North Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The $10 game, $2,000,000 GOLD RUSH CLASSIC, launched in January 2019, and offers more than $246.8 million in prizes, including ten top prizes of $2 million! The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-3.49.

Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 69 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $965 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2018-19.
