FDC Assault Advisories | June 5 – 11, 2018

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty.

MILTON, Fla. – On June 5, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Santa Rosa Correctional Institution.

Inmate Rosario Gerardo (C01669) assaulted the officer at approximately 4:28 a.m. Inmate Gerardo bit the officer’s arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Gerardo will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

CROSS CITY, Fla. – On June 5, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Cross City Correctional Institution.

Inmate Willie Cross (B10789) assaulted the officer at approximately 6:50 a.m. Inmate Cross kicked the officer in the groin. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Cross will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

MILTON, Fla. – On June 5, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Santa Rosa Annex.

Inmate Abdelaziz Hamze (L81379) assaulted the officer at approximately 8:22 a.m. Inmate Hamze grabbed the officer’s hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Hamze will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

RAIFORD, Fla. – On June 5, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Florida State Prison.

Inmate Shakeria Bargnare (P54180) assaulted the officer at approximately 9:02 p.m. Inmate Bargnare pulled away from the officer, causing the officer’s arm to strike a door. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Bargnare will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

LAKE CITY, Fla. – On June 6, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Columbia Annex.

Inmate Terry Gibbs (079097) assaulted the officer at approximately 8:07 a.m. Inmate Gibbs struck the officer in the arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Gibbs will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

RAIFORD, Fla. – On June 6, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Florida State Prison.

Inmate Corey Milledge (Q12023) assaulted the officer at approximately 9:07 a.m. Inmate Milledge head-butted the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Inmate Milledge will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

TRENTON, Fla. – On June 7, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Lancaster Correctional Institution.

Inmate Dieuseul Cemerant (B16137) assaulted the officer at approximately12:58 p.m. Inmate Cemerant struck the officer in the head and shoulder. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Inmate Cemerant will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

MILTON, Fla. – On June 8, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Santa Rosa Correctional Institution.

Inmate Eric Mitchell (B12779) assaulted the officer at approximately 8:30 a.m. Inmate Mitchell kicked the officer in the groin. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Inmate Mitchell will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

MILTON, Fla. – On June 10, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Santa Rosa Correctional Institution.

Inmate Wade Beaty (K82034) assaulted the officer at approximately 12:30 a.m. Inmate Beaty struck the officer’s arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Beaty will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

CARRABELLE, Fla. – On June 10, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Franklin Correctional Institution.

Inmate Cecil Bell (E20160) assaulted the officer at approximately 5:24 p.m. Inmate Bell used his legs to trap the officer’s arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Bell will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

RAIFORD, Fla. – On June 11, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Florida State Prison.

Inmate Anthony Ash (N22296) assaulted the officer at approximately 2:51 p.m. Inmate Ash kicked the officer in the chest. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Inmate Ash will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
