FDC Assault Advisories | December 11 – December 17, 2018
This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty.
Florida State Prison: On December 11, inmate David Brown (180307) assaulted an officer at approximately 10:56 p.m. Inmate Brown struck the officer with his knee. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Brown will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Baker Correctional Institution: On December 12, inmate Deyell Drayton (129423) assaulted an officer at approximately 8:23 p.m. Inmate Drayton bit the officer’s hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Drayton will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Sago Palm Re-Entry: On December 13, inmate Martez Paulk (B05969) assaulted an officer at approximately 1:54 p.m. Inmate Paulk became combative and struck the officer on the arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Paulk will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Calhoun Correctional Institution: On December 15, inmate Craigory Reeves (T55564) assaulted an officer at approximately 12:38 a.m. Inmate Reeves became combative and struck the officer multiple times. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Reeves will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Suwannee Correctional Institution: On December 16, inmate Marcus Jones (L59809) assaulted an officer at approximately 7:58 p.m. Inmate Jones bit the officer’s hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Jones will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Baker Correctional Institution: On December 16, inmate Tyree O’Neal (133393) assaulted an officer at approximately 8:00 p.m. Inmate O’neal struck the officer in the side with his elbow. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Inmate O’Neal will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
