They Were Driving Through Madison County on I-10 and This Happened….

News Release (May 17, 2016)
Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that on Friday the 13th day of May 2016 at approximately 10:40 AM, Deputy Goldman with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office interstate criminal enforcement unit conducted a traffic stop on a motorist traveling on interstate 10 for a traffic infraction. Upon approaching the driver, Deputy Goldman immediately detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the driver. The driver was identified as Traveous Anderson and was accompanied by a passenger identified as Vernette Pompey both of Palmetto Florida.


Deputy Goldman requested assistance from Lt. Haskell to conduct a probable cause search of the vehicle. The search detected the headliner appeared to have been disturbed and a detailed search of the area located approximately 59 grams of crystal methamphetamine. The search further recovered 8 cell phones and an undisclosed amount of US currency.
