From the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office:

Today, the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force conducted its second “Deputies Without Borders” operation since joining the coalition earlier this year.

Following numerous complaints of suspected drug activity in this neighborhood, DTF executed a search warrant at a residence on Foley Cut Off Rd in Perry early this morning. Assisting in this operation were investigators from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Perry Police Department, and the Florida Highway Patrol Criminal Interdiction Unit.

As a result of the search, a trafficking amount of crystal methamphetamine was seized, along with synthetic cannabis, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and two firearms. Five people were taken into custody with charges ranging from drug paraphernalia to trafficking methamphetamine.

Arrested:

Kenneth Earl Padgett Jr. 41, James Peacock 23, Donald Wright 29, David Miles 24, and Debra Monroe 48, all from Perry Fl.

Sheriff Padgett stated this is a direct result of our citizens working with law enforcement to make our communities a better place. Expect to see more of these joint operations through “Deputies Without Borders” in this county and with our neighboring sheriff’s as well.
