THE $2,000,000 CASHWORD SCRATCH-OFF GAME

TALLAHASSEE -The Florida Lottery announces that Pedro Rios, of Hialeah, claimed a top prize in the $2,000,000 CASHWORD Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,600,000.00.

A loyal player, Rios says he has been purchasing Lottery tickets for 30 years. He purchased the winning ticket from Publix, located at 2414 West 60th Street in Hialeah. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The $10 Scratch-Off game, $2,000,000 CASHWORD, launched in August 2017, and features six top prizes of $2 million and over 6,000 prizes of $1,000 to $2 million! The overall odds of winning are one-in-3.38.

Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 69 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $871 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2017-18.
