PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) Office of Inspector General (OIG) criminally charged Officer Jason Tinney yesterday following an OIG criminal investigation. Tinney has been charged with battery of an inmate.
Following the arrest, Tinney was transported to the Lee County Jail. The Florida Department of Corrections Office of Inspector General acknowledges the cooperation and assistance provided by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office in the 20th Judicial Circuit.
