From 2017 to 2018, Taylor County Sheriff’s Office saw a 15.8% drop in reported crimes, per the 2018 UCR statistics. Sheriff Padgett firmly believes that the reported drop in crime index for Taylor County is a direct result of citizens coming together and working with law enforcement.
While any dip in crime is a good thing, Sheriff Padgett acknowledges that there is yet a lot of work to be done and maintains that TCSO will continue to strive to make our community better.
Sheriff Padgett believes these statistics are a direct result from the people of Taylor County’s determination to work with law enforcement, and he thanks each of you for your unwavering support. He remains committed to working with the people in making Taylor County a place where good people want to live, work and play, and a place where bad people want to leave.
