Taylor County Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrests


On Monday afternoon, in a driving rain shower– TCSO Drug Task Force Investigator Jason Vinson conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of US Hwy 221 and Pisgah Road on a silver Ford pickup occupied by three people.

While conducting traffic enforcement, Inv. Vinson observed indicators of criminal activity and requested K9 assistance. K9 assistance responded and K9 “Titan” indicated a positive alert on the vehicle.

Subsequently, methamphetamine, pipes used to smoke meth, and other drug paraphernalia was seized from the vehicle.

Based on the above mentioned information, the following people were placed under arrest and charged as follows:

Rick Ross, age 54, charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Kayla Ross, age 19, charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Dawn Davis, age 44, charged with Possession of Methamphetamine
