Sheriff Padgett would like to welcome all those visiting Taylor County this holiday weekend. Public safety is our top priority.

While enjoying our coastal waters, please check your vessel for adequate safety equipment and life jackets before launching.

Operate golf carts only on designated county roads. UTV’s and 4 wheelers are not allowed on any public roadway. Click the link to read the entire county golf cart ordinance.

If you plan to enjoy a few drinks at any of our local businesses, please have a designated driver. Our local establishments that sell alcoholic beverages are governed by state law and local ordinance. They are required to stop selling at 1:00 am and all patrons must be out of the establishment by 1:30 am. This rule is strictly enforced.
