In March 2019, Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, utilizing a Speed/Aggressive Driving Grant from the Florida Department of Transportation, paid for four (4) details of high visibility and saturation patrols.
During this reporting time frame, TCSO also participated in Operation Care, partnering with Florida Highway Patrol.
During these patrols, deputies conducted numerous traffic stops, and issued several Uniform Traffic Citations and written warnings.
Traffic stops were conducted upon several vehicles that were traveling in excess of 10-15 miles per hour over the posted speed limit.
The objective of each deputy is to educate the public about the dangers and penalties of speeding and aggressive driving.
Deputies will continue to be out in force, utilizing the grant, to help keep the roads in Taylor County safe.
Traffic safety is a top priority, and everyone must play a role.
