While searching for a wanted fugitive today, Drug Task Force (DTF) investigators came in contact with two females in a pick up truck parked in the front yard of a residence off US Hwy 221. DTF has received numerous complaints reference drug activity at that particular residence.
The two females exhibited behavior consistent with indications of criminal activity, and one of the females was initially unresponsive upon initial contact with law enforcement. There was also a small child in the vehicle.
Once both were fully conscious, investigators questioned the two about their recent activity. DTF investigators then asked and received full consent to search the vehicle.
Subsequently, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was seized. The two females were charged as follows:
Erica Williamson: Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Bertha Renee Buzbee: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
DCF was notified of this incident and the small child was placed in the care of an immediate family member.
