SEMINOLE COUNTY MAN CLAIMS $1 MILLION PRIZE IN THE $5 MONOPOLY™ JACKPOT SCRATCH-OFF GAME

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida Lottery announces that Christopher Baird, of Chuluota, claimed a $1 million prize in the $5 MONOPOLY™ JACKPOT Scratch-Off game at the Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $715,000.00.

Baird purchased his winning ticket from Racetrac, located at 1600 South John Young Parkway in Kissimeee. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The $5 Scratch-Off game, MONOPOLY JACKPOT features more than $32 million in prizes. The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-3.98.

Scratch-Offs are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, generating more than $871 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in FY 2017-18, and comprising approximately 69 percent of ticket sales.
