PORT CHARLOTTE WOMAN CLAIMS $1.3 MILLION LUCKY MONEY™ JACKPOT

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida Lottery announces that Jodi Hinand, 56, of Port Charlotte, claimed the $1.3 million LUCKY MONEY™ jackpot from the June 8, 2018, drawing at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $923,438.52.

Hinand and her husband said they will spend their winnings responsibly, and plan to help their two sons pay for college.

Hinand purchased her winning ticket at Publix, located at 4265 Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte. The retailer received a bonus commission of $1,000 for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.

The next LUCKY MONEY drawing will be held tonight, June 15, 2018, at 11:15 p.m. ET, with a $550,000 jackpot. The LUCKY MONEY drawings are broadcast on 17 carrier stations throughout the state. Winning numbers are available on the Lottery website, at retailers statewide and by phone at (850) 921-PLAY.
