MADISON, FL – North Florida Community College celebrated the career and dedicated service of retiring NFCC employee Tish Freeman in April. After over 17 years of service, Freeman says it is the people that she has met and worked with along the way that is most rewarding about working for the College. “NFCC is a great place to work and I wish you all the best.”

Freeman began her career at NFCC in 1994 and worked in the Maintenance Department as Maintenance Secretary.

“I thank Tish for all of her years of service to the Maintenance Department and the College,” said Dale Hackle, Maintenance Director. “She will be missed here in Maintenance. We wish her the best in her retirement.”

Freeman says she is looking forward to retirement – “it is time for me to never set my alarm clock again (or rarely) and to get those darn weeds out of my flower beds” – and that she truly enjoyed working for the NFCC Maintenance Department – “Dale Hackle was a wonderful boss.”

“I will miss you all, but I leave my job in capable hands,” said Freeman. “My replacement is Linda English. She is doing a great job and I am sure you will make her welcome and know that she is going to be a valuable employee in the Maintenance Department.”

Freeman was honored with a retirement plaque and reception at the Maintenance Department on April 11. Freeman is a current and longtime resident of Madison County.
