Major David Harper of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart recently attended a meeting with The United States Attorney General Jeff Sessions to discuss the concerns of the opioid crisis facing our great nation and specifically North Florida. The meeting was held at the State Capital on Thursday, March 22, 2018.
Sheriff Stewart was one of 6 Sheriff’s to attend the invitation only meeting along with top representatives from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Florida Highway Patrol, the Drug Enforcement Administration, Police Chiefs and the State Attorney from the Second and Third Circuit. Sheriff Stewart took this opportunity to discuss issues that directly affect Madison County and our citizens.
