Former Jackson CI Correctional Officer Ayena Carter charged with bribery, corruption
MALONE, Fla. — The Florida Department of Corrections’ (FDC) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) announced the arrest of former Correctional Officer Ayena Carter. Carter is charged with numerous bribery/unlawful compensation charges and other related corruption charges.
Following the arrest, Carter was transported to the Jackson County Jail. The OIG acknowledges the cooperation and assistance provided by State Attorney Glenn Hess of the 14th Judicial Circuit of Florida and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
