Former Correctional Officer Kenneth Johns Arrested on 56 Counts

LAKE BUTLER, Fla. — The Florida Department of Corrections’ (FDC) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) announced the arrest of former Correctional Officer Kenneth Johns. Johns is charged with official misconduct, bribery, unlawful use of a two-way communication device and introduction of contraband in two Florida counties.

Following the arrest, Johns was transported to the Bradford County Jail. The OIG acknowledges the cooperation and assistance provided by Chief State Attorney Luis Bustamante, State Attorney for the Eighth Judicial Circuit William Cervone and Special Agent in Charge Matt Walsh of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
