FLORIDA LOTTERY SECURITY REPORTS LATEST COMPLIANCE CHECK RESULTS; MAKES THREE ARRESTS

TALLAHASSEE – Last week, law enforcement agents with the Florida Lottery’s Division of Security conducted 80 compliance checks as part of its on-going Operation Integrity efforts. Lottery retail locations in Franklin, Liberty, Calhoun, Jackson, and Gadsden counties were included. As a result of these stings, three arrests were made. Below is a summary of the arrests:

One arrest was made at M&M Market, located at 3106 North Main Street in Cottondale. The individual arrested was charged with Grand Theft (violation of section 812.014 – 2(c)1, Florida Statutes) involving Lottery tickets.

One arrest was made at T & P Deli, located at 18193 State Road 65 in Hosford. The individual arrested was charged with Grand Theft (violation of section 812.014 – 2(c)1, Florida Statutes) involving Lottery tickets.

One arrest was made at West End Quick Pic, located at 19337 Central Avenue West in Blountstown. The individual arrested was charged with Grand Theft (violation of section 812.014 – 2(c)1, Florida Statutes) involving Lottery tickets.

Security compliance checks are part of the Lottery’s on-going effort to heighten awareness of what it does as an organization to combat illegal activity. The Florida Lottery has zero tolerance for fraudulent activity by players or retailers.

The Florida Lottery’s Division of Security works to identify and take action against criminal behavior involving its retailers. The earlier you report suspicious activity the easier it is to investigate.
