This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty.

RAIFORD, Fla. – On July 11, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Florida State Prison.

Inmate Radrrick Lavrrick (M57343) assaulted the officer at approximately 8:57 p.m. Inmate Lavrrick charged staff with multiple homemade weapons. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted a laceration to the officer’s arm and swelling to the head. Inmate Lavrrick will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


MILTON, Fla. – On July 12, an inmate assaulted correctional officers at Santa Rosa Correctional Institution.

Inmate Johnnie Gallon (N25034) assaulted the officers at approximately 7:57 p.m. Inmate Gallon became combative and assaulted three officers. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries to all three officers. Inmate Gallon will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


INDIANTOWN, Fla. – On July 13, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Martin Correctional Institution.

Inmate Brice Wright (R28650) assaulted the officer at approximately 6:05 p.m. Inmate Wright struck the officer in the face with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Inmate Wright will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


OCALA, Fla. – On July 13, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Florida Women’s Reception Center.

Inmate Tania Rosado (E03956) assaulted the officer at approximately 8:26 p.m. Inmate Rosado scratched the left side of the officer’s face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted minor injuries. Inmate Rosado will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


OCALA, Fla. – On July 14, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Marion Correctional Institution.

Inmate Jonathan Sweeney (V43041) assaulted the officer at approximately 6:05 p.m. Inmate Sweeney became combative, kicking the officer in the chest area. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Inmate Sweeney will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


ORLANDO, Fla. – On July 16, an inmate assaulted correctional officers at Central Florida Reception Center.

Inmate Ronald Mcphee (K60905) assaulted the officers at approximately 6:45 a.m. Inmate Mcphee struck both of the officers with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries to both. Inmate Mcphee will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


BONIFAY, Fla. – On July 16, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Holmes Correctional Institution.

Inmate Jordan Darrius (J53616) assaulted the officer at approximately 12:05 p.m. Inmate Darrius kicked and pushed the officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Inmate Darrius will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


SANDERSON, Fla. – On July 16, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Baker Correctional Institution.

Inmate Terrell Williams (J41158) assaulted the officers at approximately 2:25 p.m. Inmate Williams pulled on a dorm door, jamming the officer’s hand in it. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted bruising and swelling of the left hand. Inmate Williams will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


OCALA, Fla. – On July 16, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Florida Women’s Reception Center.

Inmate Loretha Hart (272518) assaulted the officers at approximately 9:05 p.m. Inmate Hart kicked the officer in the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Inmate Hart will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
