MAYO, Fla. – The Florida Department of Corrections’ (FDC) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) announced the arrest of Officer Cody Ford today following an OIG criminal investigation. Ford is charged with battery of an inmate and falsifying a use of force report.
Following the arrest, Ford was transported to the Lafayette County Jail. The OIG acknowledges the cooperation and assistance provided by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office in the 3rd Judicial Circuit.
