FDC: Visitor Contraband Interdiction | July 30 – August 5, 2019

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Hamilton Work Camp: On August 4, during a pat search, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of contraband tobacco. Their visitation was terminated.

Walton Correctional Institution: On August 3, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine. The visitor was arrested for introduction of contraband.
