STARKE, Fla. — The Florida Department of Corrections’ (FDC) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) announced the arrest of Education Supervisor Antonio Carlisle. Carlisle is charged with sexual battery and sexual misconduct.
FDC takes all allegations of abuse or mistreatment of inmates seriously and any employee found to have acted inappropriately or illegally will face the consequences of those actions.
Secretary Mark Inch said, “The charges against Antonio Carlisle are deeply disturbing and abhorrent. His actions are absolutely contrary to the core values of the Florida Department of Corrections. FDC is moving forward with his immediate dismissal.”
The FDC Office of Inspector General is responsible for ensuring all reports of misconduct are investigated. The FDC OIG continues to diligently investigate this case.
