FDC Assault Advisories | October 16 – October 22, 2018
This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty.
Mayo Annex: On October 16, inmate Anthony Staten (343082) assaulted an officer at approximately 10:00 p.m. Inmate Staten headbutted the officer in the chest. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Inmate Staten will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Walton Correctional Institution: On October 17, inmate James Chambers (K89398) assaulted two officers at approximately 10:50 a.m. Inmate Chambers punched an officer in the face and kicked another officer in the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Inmate Chambers will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Columbia Correctional Institution: On October 19, inmate John Fedora (R13815) assaulted an officer at approximately 9:46 a.m. Inmate Fedora punched the officer in the face multiple times. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Fedora will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Desoto Annex: On October 20, inmate David Brevick (E23793) assaulted two officers at approximately 5:49 a.m. Inmate Brevick headbutted an officer and kicked another officer in the groin. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Brevick will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Jackson Correctional Institution: On October 20, inmate Karl Kelly (C10807) assaulted an officer at approximately 12:40 a.m. Inmate Kelly struck the officer on the hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Inmate Kelly will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Madison Correctional Institution: On October 20, inmate Michael Hope (581641) assaulted an officer at approximately 12:20 p.m. Inmate Hope struck the officer on the head with a broomstick. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Hope will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Central Florida Reception Center: On October 20, inmate Corey Robinson (G20864) assaulted an officer at approximately 3:00 p.m. Inmate Robinson struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Robinson will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Zephyrhills Correctional Institution: On October 22, inmate Donald Donaho (X30138) assaulted an officer at approximately 4:41 p.m. Inmate Donaho punched the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Inmate Donaho will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
