This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.
Lake Correctional Institution: On November 14, Inmate Arthur Grubbs (925725) assaulted an officer by kicking them on the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Holmes Correctional Institution: On November 14, Inmate Santill Irby (L79554) assaulted two officers by striking them in the shoulder and face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.
Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On November 17, Inmate Tanner Collins (X96162) assaulted an officer by headbutting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
DeSoto Annex: On November 17, Inmate Montel Howard (N27865) assaulted an officer by elbowing them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Santa Rosa Work Camp: On November 17, Inmate William Brook (925173) assaulted an officer by headbutting them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Suwannee Correctional Institution: On November 17, Inmate Eric Quinones (C10386) assaulted an officer by striking them on the hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Tomoka Work Camp: On November 18, Inmate Kenneth Tanguay (R26792) assaulted multiple officers by striking and kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.
Lancaster Correctional Institution: On November 18, Inmate Angel Rodriguez (H51232) assaulted an officer by striking them in the chest and shoulder. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
