FDC Assault Advisories | January 29 – February 4, 2019
This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty.
Martin Correctional Institution: On February 5, inmate Marquis Nettles (P30904) assaulted an officer at approximately 3:55 p.m. Inmate Nettles struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Nettles will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On February 5, inmate Charles Waits (T72253) assaulted two officers at approximately 4:35 p.m. Inmate Waits became combative and struck the officers multiple times. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries. Inmate Waits will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Hamilton Annex: On February 6, inmate Joseph Reynolds (P61961) assaulted an officer at approximately 2:52 p.m. Inmate Reynolds kicked the officer in the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Inmate Reynolds will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Florida State Prison: On February 6, inmate Jovan Agosto (L28154) assaulted an officer at approximately 3:26 p.m. Inmate Agosto punched the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Inmate Agosto will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Suwannee Correctional Institution: On February 7, inmate James Logan (Y00683) assaulted multiple officers at approximately 12:40 a.m. Inmate Logan became combative and struck the officers multiple times. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries. Inmate Logan will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On February 8, inmate Troy Hall (082137) assaulted an officer at approximately 12:20 p.m. Inmate Hall grabbed the officer’s wrist and attempted to pull them into a cell. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Hall will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Avon Park Correctional Institution: On February 8, inmate Xavier O’Neal (H46156) assaulted multiple officers at approximately 11:20 p.m. Inmate O’Neal became combative and struck the officers multiple times. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries. Inmate O’ Neal will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Suwannee Correctional Institution: On February 9, inmate Nico Carter (A50055) assaulted an officer at approximately 7:25 p.m. Inmate Carter punched the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Carter will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On February 10, inmate Adrian Mitchell (C07375) assaulted an officer at approximately 2:53 p.m. Inmate Mitchell became combative. Staff responded appropriately. While the inmate was being subdued, he bit a responding officer on the hand. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Mitchell will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
