This number includes close contacts of laboratory confirmed cases, as well as people who have returned from China in the past 14 days.

The Florida Department of Health (Department) is working closely with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to monitor the current outbreak of COVID-19 and is actively working to ensure that the most up-to-date CDC guidance is quickly and accurately disseminated to local partners. There are two confirmed cases and one presumptive positive case of 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Florida, the Department is coordinating with our local partners to investigate, confirm, contain and report any cases.
