Yudayne Betancourt, (40, West Palm Beach), wins $5 million from the $5,000,000 LUCK Scratch-Off

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida Lottery announces that Yudayne Betancourt, 40, of West Palm Beach, claimed a $5 million top prize from the $5,000,000 LUCK Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3,815,000.00.

Betancourt purchased her winning ticket from 7-Eleven located at 3950 East Indian Town Road in Jupiter. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The $20 game, $5,000,000 LUCK, launched in September and features more than $329 million in cash prizes, including six top prizes of $5 million! The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-2.97.

Scratch-Offs are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, generating more than $871 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in FY 2017-18, and comprising approximately 69 percent of ticket sales
