Perry Police Dept. Requests Citizen Assistance in Solving Hit & Run Fatality

The Perry Police Department is currently investigating a Hit and Run traffic Crash that has resulted in the death of a Perry resident.

On Saturday at around 1:00 am, Officers were dispatched to a report of a traffic crash in which a pedestrian was struck and killed. The crash occurred near the Hwy 19 (Byron Butler Parkway) entrance of Doctor’s Memorial Hospital. Upon arrival officers determined that it appeared that a single vehicle had been involved in the crash and had fled the scene.

The victim of the crash Tony Glen Cameron 50 years of age, of Perry was pronounced deceased at the crash scene.  At this time Investigators are looking for dark colored vehicle, possibly a pickup a Ford truck in connection with this incident.
