This morning at approximately 8:55 am deputies located the fugitive, Shedrick Tyrone Williams Jr, 9/26/1994 at a residence Greenville. Williams attempted to elude deputies by running out the back door and entering a car. Deputies quickly surrounded the car and removed Williams without further incident. Williams was arrested on an active warrant for Violation of Drug Offender Probation. Williams will face new charges of Resisting Arrest from the incident yesterday.

The Law Enforcement presence that you may have witnessed in the area near Winn-Dixie and Pizza Hut earlier this afternoon was in response to a man with active arrest warrants for drug violations fleeing from MPD officers on foot into the wooded area behind the businesses. Deputies responded to assist and attempted to establish a canine track however the canine track was unsuccessful and the fugitive was not located. The entire area was thoroughly searched. It is believed the fugitive was able to obtain a ride and is no longer in the area. The identity of the fugitive is known to Law Enforcement and officers are currently working to obtain his location.
