LOTTERY SECURITY REPORTS LATEST COMPLIANCE CHECK; MAKES FIVE ARRESTS

TALLAHASSEE – This week, law enforcement agents with the Florida Lottery’s Division of Security conducted 29 compliance checks as part of its on-going Operation Integrity efforts. Lottery retail locations in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties were included.

One arrest was made at Circle K, located at 5901 Memorial Highway in Tampa. The store clerk arrested was charged with Grand Theft (violation of section 812.014.2(C)1, Florida Statutes).

One arrest was made at Quick Stop, located at 6625 Seminole Boulevard in Seminole. The store clerk arrested was charged with Grand Theft (violation of section 812.014.2(C)1, Florida Statutes).

One arrest was made at Sheldon BP, located at 6908 Sheldon Road in Tampa. The store clerk arrested was charged with Grand Theft (violation of section 812.014.2(C)1, Florida Statutes).

One arrest was made at Tiger Mart, located at 901 4th Street North in St. Petersburg. The store clerk arrested was charged with Grand Theft (violation of section 812.014.2(C)1, Florida Statutes).

One arrest was made at Value Market, located at 12201 North Florida Avenue in Tampa. The store clerk arrested was charged with Grand Theft (violation of section 812.014.2(C)1, Florida Statutes).

Security compliance checks are part of the Lottery’s on-going effort to heighten awareness of what it does as an organization to combat illegal activity. The Florida Lottery has zero tolerance for fraudulent activity by players or retailers.

The Florida Lottery’s Division of Security works to identify and take action against criminal behavior involving its retailers.
