LOTTERY SECURITY CONDUCTS 75 COMPLIANCE CHECKS, MAKES TWO ARRESTS

TALLAHASSEE – Last week, law enforcement agents with the Florida Lottery’s Division of Security conducted 75 compliance checks as part of its ongoing Operation Integrity efforts. Operations were conducted in Hillsborough, Lee, Manatee, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Seminole, and Sumpter counties.

One arrest was made at Zhills Shell, located at 6512 Gall Boulevard in Zephyrhills. The store clerk arrested was charged with Grand Theft (violation of section 812.014 (2)(c)(1), Florida Statutes).

One arrest was made at The Green Room, located at 137 Duval Street in Key West. The store clerk arrested was charged with Grand Theft (violation of section 812.014 (2)(c)(1), Florida Statutes).

Security compliance checks are part of the Lottery’s ongoing effort to heighten awareness around security and to combat illegal activity. The Florida Lottery has zero tolerance for fraudulent activity by players or retailers.

The Florida Lottery’s Division of Security works to identify and take action against criminal behavior involving its retailers.
