Savannah, GA (March 11, 2020) – On Thursday, March 5, 2020, the GBI arrested former Chatham County Recorder’s Court Clerk Administrative Assistant Veronica Culver, 51, for Theft by Conversion and False Statements and Writings stemming from a GBI investigation.
On July 31, 2019, the GBI was requested by the Chatham County District Attorney’s Office to investigate a complaint received from Chatham County Recorder’s Court Clerk Catrina Perry-Brown regarding an internal criminal allegation allegedly committed by Culver. The case was investigated by the GBI and turned over to the Chatham County District Attorney for review. A grand jury subsequently indicted Culver on the aforementioned charges.
