FLORIDA CITY, Fla. — The Florida Department of Corrections’ (FDC) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) announced the arrest of Correctional Officers Lizandro Rodriguez, Eric Peavy and Ellen Day. Rodriguez, Peavy and Day have been charged with official misconduct and falsifying an official record relating to a person in state care.
Following the arrest, they were transferred to the Dade County Jail. The OIG acknowledges the cooperation and assistance provided by Ms. Katherine Fernandez Rundle, Miami-Dade State Attorney and Juan J. Perez, Director of the Miami-Dade Police Department.
