Florida Correctional Officers Arrested

OCALA, Fla. — The Florida Department of Corrections’ (FDC) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) announced the arrest of Correctional Officers Kurtis Mitchell and Adrian Puckett. Mitchell is charged with principal to aggravated battery with great bodily harm. Puckett is charged with aggravated battery with great bodily harm and falsifying records.

Following the arrest, Mitchell and Puckett were transported to the Marion County Jail. The OIG acknowledges the cooperation and assistance from Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods and State Attorney Brad King of the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Florida.
