FDC UPDATE: Hurricane Michael
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Phone lines at several North Florida Institutions remain down. Cell service and land lines in many panhandle communities are not working. Once land lines in the community are restored, inmate phones should be working and inmates will be able to call out.
Once commercial power is stable and the institution is fully off generator power, kiosks will be turned on and inmates will be able to resume normal kiosk communication – IF internet is working in the area.
Evacuation announcements will not be made until they are complete. If an inmate location changes, it will be updated on www.dc.state.fl.us within 24-hrs.
