FDC: Private Contractor (Kayla Bryars) and Visitor (Torri Waldrup) Arrested for Contraband

GRACEVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Department of Corrections’ (FDC) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) announced the arrest of substance abuse counselor Kayla Bryars and visitor Torri Waldrup. Bryars is charged with multiple counts of conspiracy to introduce contraband, unlawful use of a two-way communication device, conspiracy to deliver drugs and interference with an inmate. Waldrup is charged with conspiracy to introduce contraband and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.

Following the arrest Bryars was transported to the Baldwin County Jail in Alabama and Waldup was transported to the Washington County Jail in Alabama. The OIG acknowledges the cooperation and assistance of the Baldwin County Alabama Sheriff’s Office and the Washington County Alabama Sheriff’s Office along with State Attorney Glenn Hess of the 14th Judicial Circuit of Florida and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
