Inmate Escape Notice

UPDATED – June 26, 2018

Inmate Brandon Fain was recaptured without incident.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — On June 25, New River Work Camp Inmate Brandon Fain (Q34206) left his outside grounds work assignment without authorization. Anyone with information on this inmate’s whereabouts should contact local law enforcement immediately.

Inmate Fain was working on the outside grounds when he departed the institution on foot. Staff immediately notified local law enforcement, and a search is underway for the inmate.

Inmate Fain is a minimum custody inmate with a projected release date of July 2022. He has no history of violent discipline with the Department.

From FY 2010-11 to FY 2015-16, escapes within the Department’s custody has decreased 74 percent.

The Department’s recapture rate for FY 2016-17 is approximately 93 percent.
