FDC Assault Advisories | November 6 – November 12, 2018
This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty.
Dade Correctional Institution: On November 6, inmate Norberto Rodriguez (C00832) assaulted an officer at approximately 10:32 a.m. Inmate Rodriguez struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Inmate Rodriguez will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Century Correctional Institution: On November 6, inmate Corey Murrary (T16028) assaulted an officer at approximately 2:00 p.m. Inmate Murrary struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Murrary will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Apalachee Correctional Institution East: On November 7, inmate Kenard Graham (B05297) assaulted an officer at approximately 3:25 p.m. Inmate Graham struck the officer in the torso with his shoulder. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Inmate Graham will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Hamilton Annex: On November 8, inmate Joseph Brown (134298) assaulted an officer at approximately 6:51 a.m. Inmate Brown struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Brown will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Suwannee Correctional Institution: On November 8, inmate John Gilday (P90065) assaulted an officer at approximately 9:37 a.m. Inmate Gilday struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Gilday will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Holmes Correctional Institution: On November 10, inmate Julius Bender (C08146) assaulted an officer at approximately 5:25 p.m. Inmate Bender struck the officer in the face and upper torso. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Bender will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Holmes Correctional Institution: On November 11, inmate Rolando Rameriez (M56080) assaulted an officer at approximately 6:45 a.m. Inmate Rameriez grabbed the officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Inmate Rameriez will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On November 11, inmate Anthony Stewart (K63526) assaulted an officer at approximately 4:14 p.m. Inmate Stewart struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Inmate Stewart will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Wakulla Annex: On November 11, inmate Ronald Wilkey (624644) assaulted an officer at approximately 7:37 p.m. Inmate Wilkey struck the officer on the hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Inmate Wilkey will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Martin Correctional Institution: On November 12, inmate Daniel Daugherty (093394) assaulted an officer at approximately 10:24 a.m. Inmate Daugherty became combative and struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Daugherty will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Holmes Correctional Institution: On November 12, inmate Ryan Murphy (I09542) assaulted an officer at approximately 6:20 p.m. Inmate Murphy kicked a door, which struck the officer in the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Inmate Murphy will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
