This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.
Hardee Work Camp: On July 16, inmate Phillip Toler (537865) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face with his knee. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Walton Correctional Institution: On July 17, inmate Peter Booker (J25445) assaulted an officer by biting them on the shoulder. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Suwannee Correctional Institution: On July 19, inmate Emmanuel Drayton (B15685) assaulted four officers by striking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.
Dade Correctional Institution: On July 19, inmate Marvin Pace (B02617) assaulted an officer by biting them on the hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Dade Correctional Institution: On July 22, inmate Karim Aime (Q25848) assaulted an officer by kicking them in the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Holmes Correctional Institution: On July 22, inmate Antonio Smith (K52307) assaulted an officer by throwing a pack of batteries, striking them in the chest. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
