This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty.
JASPER, Fla. – On January 3, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Hamilton Correctional Institution.
Inmate Oscar Gibson (M41197) assaulted the officer at approximately 6:50 a.m. Inmate Gibson struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Inmate Gibson will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
MILTON, Fla. – On January 4, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Santa Rosa Correctional Institution.
Inmate Aushea Williams (V37193) assaulted the officer at approximately 11:35 a.m. Inmate Williams became combative and placed his arms around the officer’s neck. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Williams will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
LAKE CITY, Fla. – On January 4, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Columbia Correctional Institution.
Inmate Dewey Ayers (193954) assaulted the officer at approximately 4:00 p.m. Inmate Ayers struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Ayers will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
TRENTON, Fla. – On January 7, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Lancaster Correctional Institution.
Inmate Jurvoski Hawthorne (W29627) assaulted the officer at approximately 12:55 p.m. Inmate Hawthorne struck the officer in the face with his shoulder. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Inmate Hawthorne will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
OCALA, Fla. – On January 7, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Lowell Correctional Institution.
Inmate Sabrina Pearce (V48367) assaulted the officer at approximately 2:32 p.m. Inmate Pearce head-butted the officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

CHIPLEY, Fla. – On January 8, an inmate assaulted correctional officers at Northwest Florida Reception Center.
Inmate Misael Rosales-Posada (135632) assaulted the officers at approximately 5:53 p.m. Inmate Rosales-Posada became combative and struck the officers with a broom. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

LAKE CITY, Fla. – On January 9, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Columbia Correctional Institution.
Inmate Anthony Jones (C10605) assaulted the officer at approximately 4:55 a.m. Inmate Jones struck the officer in the knee multiple times. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Jones will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
LIVE OAK, Fla. – On January 9, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Suwannee Correctional Institution.
Inmate Leroy Brown (L65158) assaulted the officer at approximately 5:25 p.m. Inmate Brown head-butted the officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

SNEADS, Fla. – On January 9, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Apalachee Correctional Institution.
Inmate Edwin Santiago (777308) assaulted the officer at approximately 4:10 p.m. Inmate Santiago kicked the officer in the abdomen. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

CHIPLEY, Fla. – On January 9, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Northwest Florida Reception Center.
Inmate Randall Owen (G18483) assaulted the officer at approximately 9:40 p.m. Inmate Owen struck the officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

SANDERSON, Fla. – On January 10, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Baker Correctional Institution.
Inmate Demetreous Reece (127026) assaulted the officer at approximately 9:40 a.m. Inmate Reece struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – On January 10, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Charlotte Correctional Institution.
Inmate Luis Sanchez (452144) assaulted the officer at approximately 5:20 p.m. Inmate Sanchez struck the officer in the head. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

CROSS CITY, Fla. – On January 11, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Cross City Correctional Institution.
Inmate Robert Butler (143734) assaulted the officer at approximately 9:45 a.m. Inmate Butler struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Inmate Terry Bradshaw (U00849) assaulted the officer at approximately 6:45 a.m. Inmate Bradshaw struck the officer in the arm and chest. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

CLERMONT, Fla. – On January 12, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Lake Correctional Institution.
Inmate Anthony Proenza (E43282) assaulted the officer at approximately 12:35 p.m. Inmate Proenza struck the officer with a broom. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

PERRY, Fla. – On January 12, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Taylor Correctional Institution.
Inmate James Wallace (T18569) assaulted the officer at approximately 8:37 p.m. Inmate Wallace head-butted the officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

MONTICELLO, Fla. – On January 13, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Jefferson Correctional Institution.
Inmate Michael Lucas (K75472) assaulted the officer at approximately 9:48 p.m. Inmate Lucas head-butted and attempted to chock the officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

PERRY, Fla. – On January 14, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Taylor Correctional Institution.
Inmate Justin Adams (380188) assaulted the officer at approximately 2:52 a.m. Inmate Adams kicked the officer in the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

OCALA, Fla. – On January 14, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Lowell Correctional Institution.
Inmate Tashauna Simpson (X91392) assaulted the officer at approximately 5:30 p.m. Inmate Simpson struck the officer in the head. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

RAIFORD, Fla. – On January 15, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Florida State Prison.
Inmate Gregory Ashley (W28952) assaulted the officer at approximately 12:55 p.m. Inmate Ashley kicked the officer in the abdomen. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

LAKE BUTLER, Fla. – On January 15, an inmate assaulted correctional officers at Reception and Medical Center.
Inmate James Ivey (G08048) assaulted the officers at approximately 1:20 p.m. Inmate Ivey kicked the officers several times. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

MADISON, Fla. – On January 17, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Madison Correctional Institution.
Inmate Arnold Horton (U29246) assaulted the officer at approximately 10:50 a.m. Inmate Horton struck the officer in the abdomen with his cane. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

OCALA, Fla. – On January 17, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Lowell Correctional Institution.
Inmate Angel Meddler (J54237) assaulted the officer at approximately 5:25 p.m. Inmate Meddler struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

LAKE CITY, Fla. – On January 20, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Columbia Correctional Institution.
Inmate Miguel Hernandez (L21450) assaulted the officer at approximately 8:32 a.m. Inmate Hernandez struck the officer in the chest with his shoulder. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

BRISTOL, Fla. – On January 22, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Liberty Correctional Institution.
Inmate Ranses Profitt (X95883) assaulted the officer at approximately 1:20 a.m. Inmate Profitt kicked the officer in the groin. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
