FDC Assault Advisories | January 22 – January 28, 2018
This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty.
Union Correctional Institution: On January 22, inmate Julceus Ladevine (W44759) assaulted an officer at approximately 7:50 a.m. Inmate Ladevine kicked an officer in the abdomen. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Ladevine will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Florida State Prison: On January 22, inmate Zechariah Bryson (S30210) assaulted an officer at approximately 9:40 a.m. Inmate Bryson headbutted the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Inmate Bryson will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Holmes Correctional Institution: On January 22, inmate Rondell McHellen (127412) assaulted an officer at approximately11:28 a.m. Inmate McHellen shoved the officer into a wall. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate McHellen will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Suwannee Work Camp: On January 26, inmate Michael Alterma (Y21504) assaulted an officer at approximately 10:58 p.m. Inmate Alterma headbutted the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Alterma will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Central Florida Reception Center: On January 28, inmate Tremain Polk (S05192) assaulted an officer at approximately 12:23 p.m. Inmate Polk punched an officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Polk will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
Union Correctional Institution: On January 28, inmate Kelvin Brown (A51451) assaulted an officer at approximately 1:42 p.m. Inmate Brown bit an officer on the hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Brown will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
