This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty.
LAKE CITY, Fla. – On August 8, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Columbia Work Camp.
Inmate Kevin Degnan (157759) assaulted the officer at approximately 6:25 a.m. Inmate Degnan became combative and struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Inmate Degnan will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
LAKE CITY, Fla. – On August 8, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Columbia Correctional Institution.
Inmate Willie Roberts (J23218) assaulted the officer at approximately 12:25 p.m. Inmate Roberts head-butted and struck the officer multiple times. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Roberts will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – On August 10, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Zephyrhills Correctional Institution.
Inmate Donald Lehew (Y17613) assaulted the officer at approximately 1:35 p.m. Inmate Lehew struck the officer in the torso. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Lehew will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
MALONE, Fla. – On August 10, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Jackson Correctional Institution.
Inmate Antonio Ward (442770) assaulted the officer at approximately 5:33 p.m. Inmate Ward struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Ward will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
RAIFORD, Fla. – On August 11, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Florida State Prison.
Inmate Trent Lee (B13031) assaulted the officer at approximately 2:53 p.m. Inmate Lee head-butted the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Lee will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
BLOUNTSTOWN, Fla. – On August 11, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Calhoun Correctional Institution.
Inmate Larry Harley (994770) assaulted the officer at approximately 7:38 p.m. Inmate Harley kicked the officer in the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Inmate Harley will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
BONIFAY, Fla. – On August 12, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Holmes Correctional Institution.
Inmate Eric Tulley (X10220) assaulted the officer at approximately 6:00 a.m. Inmate Tulley struck the officer in the face several times. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Inmate Tulley will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
MAYO, Fla. – On August 12, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Mayo Correctional Institution.
Inmate Andres Rodriguez (C04276) assaulted the officer at approximately 8:40 p.m. Inmate Rodriguez struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Medical staff examined the officer and note injuries. Inmate Rodriguez will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
MILTON, Fla. – On August 13, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Santa Rosa Correctional Institution.
Inmate Jonathan Beaudry (K63689) assaulted the officer at approximately 12:00 a.m. Inmate Beaudry head-butted the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Inmate Beaudry will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
LAKE BUTLER, Fla. – On August 13, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Reception and Medical Center.
Inmate Ernest Stewart (914346) assaulted the officer at approximately 9:55 a.m. Inmate Stewart became combative and attacked the officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Stewart will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
