FDC Assault Advisories | April 10 – April 16, 2018
This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty.
ORLANDO, Fla. – On April 10, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Central Florida Reception Center.
Inmate Michael Jones (E23407) assaulted the officer at approximately 8:00 a.m. Inmate Jones pulled the officer’s hair. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Inmate Jones will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
LIVE OAK, Fla. – On April 11, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Suwannee Correctional Institution.
Inmate Marvin Brown (Y52298) assaulted the officer at approximately 11:45 a.m. Inmate Brown head-butted the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Brown will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
MILTON, Fla. – On April 11, an inmate assaulted correctional officers at Santa Rosa Correctional Institution.
Inmate Julio Moure (L85613) assaulted the officers at approximately 11:39 a.m. Inmate Moure struck one officer in the face and another in the arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Moure will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
SNEADS, Fla. – On April 12, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Apalachee Correctional Institution East.
Inmate Kenny Dorvil (Y16137) assaulted the officer at approximately 7:05 a.m. Inmate Dorvil bit the officer’s arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Inmate Dorvil will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
OCALA, Fla. – On April 12, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Lowell Annex.
Inmate Shemiaiah Thacker (G14917) assaulted the officer at approximately 10:33 a.m. Inmate Thackerkicked the officer in the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Inmate Thacker will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
OKEECHOBEE, Fla. – On April 12, an inmate assaulted correctional officers at Okeechobee Work Camp.
Inmate Francisco Ruiz (S37779) assaulted the officers at approximately 10:51 a.m. Inmate Ruiz punched two officers several times. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Ruiz will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
DE FUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. – On April 12, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Walton Correctional Institution.
Inmate Hector Mora (H43008) assaulted the officer at approximately 5:35 p.m. Inmate Mora scratched the officer’s arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Mora will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
MONTICELLO, Fla. – On April 13, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Jefferson Correctional Institution.
Inmate Gregory Cooper (T57324) assaulted the officer at approximately 10:55 a.m. Inmate Cooper struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Cooper will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – On April 13, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Charlotte Correctional Institution.
Inmate Germaine Harris (312157) assaulted the officer at approximately 4:20 p.m. Inmate Harris struck the officer in the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Inmate Harris will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
JASPER, Fla. – On April 13, an inmate assaulted correctional officers at Hamilton Annex.
Inmate Elliot Simon (548225) assaulted the officer at approximately 9:25 p.m. Inmate Simon struck two officers in the head. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Simon will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
DE FUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. – On April 14, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Walton Correctional Institution.
Inmate Ulysses Robinson (P16941) assaulted the officer at approximately 8:45 p.m. Inmate Robinson grabbed the officer’s groin. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Inmate Robinson will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
DE FUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. – On April 14, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Walton Correctional Institution.
Inmate Frederick Hunter (W47112) assaulted the officer at approximately 10:15 p.m. Inmate Hunter rammed his head into the officer’s chest. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Inmate Hunter will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
DE FUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. – On April 15, an inmate assaulted correctional officers at Walton Correctional Institution.
Inmate Diamond Monroe (L93333) assaulted the officers at approximately 1:00 p.m. Inmate Monroe punched two officers. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Inmate Baird will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
CLERMONT, Fla. – On April 15, an inmate assaulted correctional officers at Lake Correctional Institution.
Inmate Steven Haulk (347059) assaulted the officers at approximately 8:00 a.m. Inmate Haulk kicked and punched one officer in the leg and another officer in the stomach. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Inmate Haulk will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
RAIFORD, Fla. – On April 15, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Union Correctional Institution.
Inmate Marcus McFadden (W31293) assaulted the officer at approximately 7:57 p.m. Inmate McFadden grabbed and knocked the officer to the ground. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Inmate McFadden will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
