The FBI is seeking information about the individual(s) who carried out the Hobbs Act robbery of a Foot Locker retail store, inside the Sawgrass Mills Mall, Sunrise, Florida, at approximately 10:00 p.m. on April 22, 2019.
The robber entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from a store employee. There were no customers in the store at the time of the robbery. There were no injuries. Money was taken, but the amount will not be released at this time.
The FBI and its South Florida Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force are involved in this matter as part of an initiative to assist local law enforcement agencies in combating violent armed robberies.
The Sunrise Police Department, the South Florida Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force, and the FBI continue their investigation.
