TALLAHASSEE – The Florida Lottery announces that Eladio Garcia Acevedo, 56, of Jacksonville, claimed a $2,500 a week top prize from the new $2,500 A WEEK FOR LIFE Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $2,015,000.00.

Garcia Acevedo purchased his winning ticket from Grand Central Station, located at 7695 Merrill Road in Jacksonville. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The $2,500 A WEEK FOR LIFE Scratch-Off game launched on July 1 and features more than $103 million in cash prizes and over 7.4 million winning tickets! Overall odds of winning are one-in-3.95.

Scratch-Offs are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, generating more than $871 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in FY 2017-18, and comprising approximately 69 percent of ticket sales.
