Correctional Officer Christopher Cooks Arrested (MCI)

MADISON, Fla. — The Florida Department of Corrections’ (FDC) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) announced the arrest of former correctional officer Christopher Cooks. Cooks is charged with unlawful compensation, disclosure or use of confidential criminal justice information, unlawful use of a two-way communication device, conspiracy to introduce contraband, compounding felony, tampering with evidence.

Cooks turned himself in to the Madison County Jail. The OIG acknowledges the cooperation and assistance provided by State Attorney Jeffrey A. Siegmeister of the 3rd Judicial Circuit of Florida and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
