CLEWISTON WOMAN CLAIMS TOP PRIZE IN THE NEW FLORIDA 20X THE CASH SCRATCH-OFF GAME

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida Lottery announces that Brenda Rivera, 37, of Clewiston, claimed a $1 million top prize in the FLORIDA 20X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $770,000.00.

Rivera purchased her winning ticket from Walmart Market Fuel Station, located at 1901 West Hickpochee Avenue in Labelle. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The new $5 game, FLORIDA 20X THE CASH, launched on January 15, and features 14 top prizes of $1 million, and more than $110 million in cash prizes. The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-4.22.

Scratch-Offs are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, generating more than $784 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in FY 2016-17, and comprising approximately 68 percent of ticket sales.
